2008 General Rule Clarifications
Ø For 7/8 softball, the adult pitcher MUST have one foot on the pitching plate when pitching, not in the circle as printed in the county rules book. This is a correction made by the county.
Ø If a coach complains about a county rule, you need to direct them to contact the county park administration. We are required to call these games as the rules are written.

For Park and Recreation
Baseball/Softball, a team may start with 8
players and 8 to finish a game. No out will be charged if a team finishes
with 8 players. Teams dropping below 8 players will forfeit the game.
Ø
Late arriving
players are inserted into the bottom of the batting order.
Ø There is NO waiting period after the first game of the day. There is NO waiting period on Saturday. Regardless of reason.
Ø As long as it is not intentional; there is no limit to the number of batters that may be hit by a pitcher while pitching. If it is deemed to be intentional, both the pitcher and the manager are to be ejected.
Ø All 5-6 Baseball or Softball
· If the 5th batting attempt is from a batting tee and is fouled, the batter is out. If the batter hits the batting tee on the 5th attempt, this is considered a miss and the batter out. Once the batting tee is used, the adult pitcher cannot pitch to that batter during that at bat.
· If the 5th batting attempt is from the Adult pitcher and is fouled, the batter can bat until he or she misses the pitch or puts the ball into play. They can foul as many as they hit.
